Q: Just starting off, how did you feel out there finally being able to play in a game?
A: Yeah, it felt great. It’s something I’ve been doing since I was three years old, so just go out and have fun.
Q: I know it’s a competition, but to see Nathan [Peterman] come out and play as well as he did, does that kind of rev things up for you a little bit, getting in there finally in the second quarter?
A: No. I just go and play my game and do what I’m supposed to do.
Q: What was it like to rebound from the snap on the first play, to then find a little bit of a rhythm and lead the team down on a fifteen play drive?
A: Yeah, it was just good for the offense as a whole to overcome a negative play, and then we had some big third down conversions on that whole series. I was just proud of the guys.
Q: When did you find out about Nate starting the game and you coming in after him, and what’s your understanding of what it means for the competition as a whole?
A: I don’t care. Whenever I’m asked to play I go play.
Q: It seemed like there was a lot of personnel packages used today for a first preseason game. Is that something we can expect a lot from this offense this year?
A: I don’t know. That’s a question you’re going to have to ask [Brian] Daboll. Like I said, I just execute what’s called and play with the guys that are in there. It was fun.
Q: How does this set the tone moving forward, at least for you individually in this quarterback competition? I know it’s early in the preseason, but a good start.
A: It’s just one game. Next week is totally different and like I keep saying, I just play when I’m asked to play and I have fun doing it.
Q: Speaking of next week, what do you know about who might start that game, if anything?
A: I have no clue.
