As a proud participant in the recent 2018 Horizons Tour of Homes, Regency Builders LLC introduced its new ‘Westchester” Model, located at 125 Penny Lane.
This final phase at Lake Forest North in Amherst, is highlighted by Regency’s newest custom floorplan.
“Owners Robert Mayo Jr. and Elliott Laksy bring over 40 years of home building experience to the table,” noted Rocco Roshong, Director of Sales with Regency Builders LLC.
While you’ll be tempted to look up at the custom coffered and box ceilings, don’t forget to look down to see the unique flooring – from the stunning hickory hardwood throughout the first floor and gorgeous geometric master bath tile to the chic retro flooring in the first-floor half bath and even the second-floor laundry room.
“The quality workmanship shown in this home, is a testament to the dedication of owner/builder Robert Mayo Jr.’s attention to detail” noted Roshong.
“Custom design and custom building, are not only on display with our new ‘Westchester’ model, but with every single home we build. When it comes to designing a home, we find that every family lives a little bit differently in their home. So why not create the perfect spaces to suit their everyday living? That is what we strive for, for our customers.
We can honestly say that we have never built the same home twice. This is what being a Custom Home Builder means to Regency,” he said.
The new ‘Westchester’ presents a stately façade of stone and deep gray shake shingle siding. The home is 3,575 square feet with four bedrooms, three full baths upstairs and two half baths on the first floor.
Guests enter through a sheltered front porch into an open floor plan that manages to be spacious yet cozy at the same time. To the left is a large coat closet and a formal dining room perfect for large family gatherings.
To the right, another large closet and formal sitting area is set off by custom crafted columns. Beyond is a private den area. Be sure to look up in the den to see the lovely wood planked coffered ceiling that mimics the hickory hardwood flooring. It gives the room a masculine feel without being overbearing.
Straight ahead is the two-story great room with a gorgeous stone gas fireplace that is the focal point of the room.
A volume ceiling is complimented by a wide arrangement of windows, that add plenty of natural light.
The room is open to the huge custom kitchen with its large island and built in Jenn-Air appliances, including an additional wall oven, a microwave convection oven, slide in gas range with pot filler above for convenience, and a handy wine cooler.
Granite countertops and custom cabinets are enhanced by retro-style bronze drawer and cupboard pulls and two unique backsplashes. The area around the stove is a sleek flat tile, while the cupboard areas feature a textured glass that complement each other perfectly. A stylish barn door leads to the walk-in pantry, giving the entire kitchen a welcoming farmhouse feel.
Just off the kitchen is a custom designed mudroom with built-in cubbies, slate-style flooring and loads of storage.
“You will never have to look far for storage in our homes,” said Roshong. The mudroom can be entered from the 2.5 car garage. Here too is another half bath.
A door from the mudroom leads to a back patio. The patio can also be accessed via the sliding glass doors off the kitchen. What’s great about the patio is that it features a large covered portion with a ceiling fan and a large sun area.
Back indoors, a turned staircase leads to the second floor. Here there are four bedrooms. Two are connected by a Jack-and-Jill bath, a third could serve as a guest room with a private bath, and the large master bedroom has a master bath not to be missed.
The bath features a large walk-in shower, a free-standing soaking tub and a dual sink vanity. The master bedroom also includes his and her walk-in closets with custom cabinetry. The room is also large enough to include a seating area if desired.
In addition to the architectural trim and molding, the home features elegant glass lighting fixtures, in-ground automated sprinkler system and much more.
