Virginia woman crashes car in Chautauqua County, is charged with DWI

An Arlington, Va., woman was arrested early Friday in the Chautauqua County Town of Gerry after crashing her car into a ditch, the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office said.

Christine R. Kemp, 40, allegedly rang up a blood-alcohol content of more than 0.18 percent, so Chautauqua County Sheriff's deputies charged her with aggravated driving while intoxicated, as well as a regular DWI count, moving from a lane unsafely and failing to signal a turn.

The incident occurred at 2:40 a.m. on Salisbury Road. Kemp was sent to the Chautauqua County Jail to await an appearance in Gerry Town Court.
