A Buffalo woman who ran over her ex-husband while driving drunk was sentenced to three to nine years in prison Friday.
Cuansharee Palmer, 38, of Buffalo, was sentenced in State Supreme Court after being convicted in May of running over Donnell Sharp, 39, on East Morris Avenue, according to the District Attorney's Office. Morris registered a blood-alcohol level nearly twice the legal limit and was driving with the couple's two young children in the back seat when the April incident occurred.
Sharp had gotten out of Palmer's SUV in front of his home and was later found pinned under Palmer's car after it jumped a curb, hit a tree and sidewalk steps, the DA's Office said. Buffalo firefighters freed Sharp, but he died from his injuries. Palmer was found guilty of multiple felony manslaughter, aggravated DWI and child endangerment charges.
