Bills fans will no longer have the option of printing their tickets for access to New Era Field, according to a new mobile ticketing policy announced Friday.
The Bills said tickets are "fully digital and only accessible through your mobile device."
According to a news release fans can manage through tickets through the My One Buffalo app or buffalobills.com in order to view, transfer, send or sell their tickets at any time. Fans are urged to download their tickets 24 hours before the game and the tickets can be scanned via smartphone at the New Era Field gates.
The team said the new policy is being enacted around the league and is intended to improve efficiency and convenience on game day and cut down on fraudulent, stolen or lost tickets.
"As more customers purchase and manage their tickets on their smartphones, we want customers to have instant access to their tickets via their mobile device anytime and anywhere," Brent Rossi, the executive vice president of marketing and brand strategy, said in a news release. "We understand this will be a big change for our customers and we are committed to providing the resources to make the transition as smooth as possible."
