Legion Field in the Village of Hamburg will be revitalized with part of a $350,000 state grant.
Funds also will be used for improvements at the Hamburg Village Community Center and Glen Meadows Park.
The village plans to reconstruct baseball diamonds, install new bathrooms, a concession stand and seating areas along with several other upgrades at Legion Field. The community center basketball court and a Glen Meadows tennis court also will be upgraded, and one of the tennis courts at Glen Meadows will be transformed into a roller hockey rink.
State Sen. Chris Jacobs secured the grant.
"We are very grateful to have a partner like Sen. Jacobs who shares our passion for parks and recreation, and a willingness to invest in these projects that will benefit taxpayers for decades to come," said Recreation Supervisor Josh Haeick.
