Rider badly injured in Buffalo after motorcycle goes airborne, crashes

A motorcyclist was badly injured in a crash Wednesday at William and New Babcock streets, according to Buffalo Police.

Police said the collision occurred at about 6:45 p.m. when the motorcycle struck a curb, went airborne and crashed into a utility pole.

The operator of the motorcycle was transported to Erie County Medical Center where he was listed in critical condition late Wednesday.

The accident remained under investigation, police said.
