Letter: Congress should be setting policy, changes on tariffs

The majority of Congress (Republicans as well as Democrats) probably disagee with President Trump’s tariff policies, instituted under the guise of national security protection.

There may be a couple of critical production areas that apply, but the general implementation does not. It is the job of Congress to set the tariff revenues, not the president!

Do your job!

Establish a tariff committee or trade delegation to consider and negotiate any tariffs to be considered and order the president to administer them. If there is a dispute, let the Supreme Court decide.

Stop worrying about getting re-elected and do your job!
