An investment group led by a Hamburg radiologist has acquired a brightly colored Grant Street mixed-use building for $850,000 – twice the price it last sold for five years ago.
Alberto C. Benedicto, who works at Southtowns Radiology, bought the three-story building at 242 Grant through BVA Realty Holdings, according to documents filed with the Erie County Clerk's office. The seller was Laurynthian Properties, owned by managing members Martin C. Lougen III and Kevin Rosso, documents show.
The 12,448-square-foot building – including the unfinished basement – houses clothing boutique Global Chic and Ken Nails on the ground floor, with 10 apartments on the upper level. It was built in 1920, and last sold in 2013 for $365,000.
