Popular Depew pan-Asian restaurant Teton Kitchen will be opening an Elmwood Village location.
Teton Kitchen Elmwood Village will bring the building at 153 Elmwood Ave. back to life. It was most recently Pasion, and before that Black Swan and Cozumel.
Taka Win, who runs Teton Kitchen with his wife Khin Aungmyin, said that he's taken over the space, just north of Allen Street. He hopes to open it in September.
Its liquor license and city approvals are still needed before he can get under way, he said.
Teton Kitchen Elmwood Village will offer a similar menu, Win said, with sushi and Asian-style tapas plates, with dishes like miso salmon, grilled hamachi collar and lamb chops in black vinegar sauce.
The original Teton Kitchen, 415 Dick Road, Depew, will remain open, he said. The partners have also been working on opening another location at 5512 Transit Road, Depew, but that will be pushed back until after the Elmwood location opens, he said.
In 2015, Teton Kitchen topped a list of Buffalo-area places to eat on Yelp, the consumer review site.
