The wait is almost over.
The Buffalo Bills will play actual football this week, opening training camp Thursday at St. John Fisher College in Pittsford.
The Bills' first preseason game is Thursday, Aug. 9 against the Panthers.
The camp question you've all been waiting for: So, who wins the starting quarterback job? Vic Carucci presented a compelling case for each quarterback. AJ McCarron and Nathan Peterman understand that this will eventually be Josh Allen's team, Carucci wrote, but they're going to do their best to prolong his time on the sidelines. My pre-training camp guess is that McCarron will be the Week 1 starter, but Allen will replace him midway through the season.

Ex-Bill Mark Maddox looks to fans for memories stolen by CTE: Maddox was involved in a key play in The Comeback, the Bills' famed victory against the Houston Oilers in the 1993 wild-card playoffs. However, Sean Kirst wrote that Maddox no longer remembers the plays due to a struggle with what he believes is CTE. "They tell me these stories," Maddox said. "I have no clue."
