BUTSCH, Catherine Winfield "Caty"

BUTSCH - Catherine Winfield "Caty
Aged 12, and forever full of life, went home to our Lord in heaven on July 21, 2018 after a swimming accident near Fort Erie, Canada. She was always happy and enthusiastic about anything that she tackled from crafts to knitting to lacrosse to basketball to thumbwrestling. She was forever loving and caring, never saying a bad word about anyone. Her impish smile, sparkling eyes and intrepid spirit were an inspiration to all who knew her. She was always upbeat and at-the-ready for a new adventure. She ran toward life with the speed of a gazelle, never looking back. She lived her short life to the fullest and will always be remembered for the love and joy that she gave to others. She is survived by her adoring parents, Molly (nee Magnotto) and John; sisters Caroline (14) and Anna (10); grandparents Lucy and John Butsch of Buffalo, NY, and Pam and Mark Magnotto of Cleveland, OH; her aunts and uncles W. Scott and Cristina Butsch of Cleveland, OH, Mary and Sean Meehan of Centreville, MD, and Amy and Robert Frost of Cleveland, OH; her cousins Francesca (14), Anders (12), Evan (12), Maisie (17), Hugh (15), Bina (20), Evie (17), and Gabe (15); and Bizzie, her loyal black lab. Services are private, with a celebration of Caty's life for friends at a date to be announced. In lieu of flowers, a fund has been set up in Caty's name at her beloved school, Elmwood Franklin, Buffalo, NY, or as a donation to the Poor Claires Monastery of Cleveland, Ohio. Share online condolences at "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." Matthew 19:14
