Could 2018 be the year of Charles Clay?
Defenders of the Bills’ tight end frequently pointed to Tyrod Taylor’s shortcomings throwing over the middle as a reason for Clay’s limited production. But now that Taylor is gone and Brian Daboll’s favorable offensive system is in place, there are no more excuses.
As such, Jay Skurski picked Clay as a potential Bills camp MVP.
“Clay needs to be a big part of the passing game in 2018, and should get every opportunity to do that,” Skurski wrote.
McCoy update: The lawyer for LeSean McCoy’s ex-girlfriend wanted to set the record straight Friday, clarifying earlier remarks about the assault. She said her client “absolutely thinks Mr. McCoy had something to do with it.” There was some confusion as to whether her client was backtracking from her initial story.
Anthem issue still unresolved, but progress: “No new rules relating to the anthem will be issued or enforced for the next several weeks while these confidential discussions are ongoing,” the League and the Players Association said in a statement.
