Wheatfield motorcyclist upgraded to serious condition

A 30-year-old Wheatfield man who was critically injured in a collision Wednesday morning has been upgraded to serious condition.

Ray Lamb III remains in the trauma unit at Erie County Medical Center after he was ejected from his motorcycle when it collided with a pickup on Niagara Falls Boulevard, the Niagara County Sheriff's Office said.

Lamb was traveling north at 8:40 a.m. when he struck the pickup that was making a left turn from a parking lot of Gleason's Gymnastics, 3305 Niagara Falls Blvd., just east of Nash Road. The pickup driver, identified as Keith Magiera, 49, of Wheatfield, was not injured, the Sheriff's Office said.

Lamb, who was ejected several feet from the point of the collision, had been listed in critical condition as of Wednesday evening. The collision remains under investgation.
