Forward Tyler Randell, who spent part of the 2015-16 season with the Boston Bruins, signed a one-year contract with the Sabres' AHL affiliate, the Rochester Americans, the team announced Wednesday.
The Amerks also announced the signing of forward Vasily Glotov to a one-year deal. Glotov's agent had previously announced the signing on Twitter. Glotov was a Sabres' seventh-round pick in 2016.
Randell, 27, had six goals and 47 penalty minutes in 27 games with the Bruins in his only NHL action. He has primarily played in the AHL for the past six seasons. He had eight points (three goals and five assists) and 94 penalty minutes in 57 games with the Belleville Senators last season and was a minus-15. His best AHL season was in 2014-15 when he had 11 goals, nine assists and 120 penalty minutes in 74 games with the Providence Bruins.
Randell was a sixth-round pick in 2009.
