Wheatfield motorcyclist in critical condition after crash with pickup

The Niagara County Sheriff's Office released the identity of a motorcyclist who suffered injuries Wednesday when he collided with a pickup making a turn onto Niagara Falls Boulevard in Wheatfield.

Ray Lamb III, 30, of Wheatfield, was traveling north on Niagara Falls Boulevard at 8:40 a.m. when his vehicle struck a 2016 Ford pickup making a left turn from a parking lot at Gleason's Gymnastics, 3305 Niagara Falls Blvd.

The Sheriff's Office identified the driver of the pickup as a 49-year-old Wheatfield man.

Lamb was ejected several feet from the point of collision, sheriff's officials said. He was taken by Twin City Ambulance to Erie County Medical Center, where he was in critical condition, the Sheriff's Office said.

The pickup driver did not report any injuries.

The Sheriff's Office crime scene identification and accident reconstruction units were investigating. No charges had been filed.
