Hotline set up for Dirschberger investigation

The special investigators assigned to investigate allegations that former Social Services Commissioner Al Dirschberger may have sexually harassed employees in his department have set up a hotline for current and former county employees who want to lodge a complaint.

Dirschberger is accused of raping a subordinate in December.

The New York city-based Lemire law firm set up the hotline to receive any confidential or anonymous complaints. The hotline number is (646) 979-4114.

Lemire was retained by the Erie County Legislature as Special Investigative Counsel in May. The law firm was tapped to independently investigate whether there were any previous complaints, formal or informal, about Dirschberger's behavior, and how any such complaints were handled, prior to him being indicted on rape charges in Albany in January.
