Niagara Falls man with child in car is charged with 3 felonies after traffic stop

A Niagara Falls man faces three felony charges after a traffic stop early Tuesday morning in Royalton, the Niagara County Sheriff's Office said.

Germaine V. Brown, 38, was pulled over at about 4:30 a.m. near Rochester Road and Royalton Center Road. A sheriff's deputy determined Brown was operating the vehicle under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol while his 4-year-old son was in the back seat, the Sheriff's Office said.

Brown was charged with felony aggravated unlicensed operation, felony driving while ability impaired by drugs, unlicensed operation, parking in the roadway, endangering the welfare of a child and felony DWI under Leandra's Law, deputies said.

Brown was remanded to the Niagara County Jail in lieu of $750 bail. The boy was turned over to his mother.
