Ellicottville Brewing Co. has opened its new $6 million brewing and bottling facility in Little Valley.
The facility, located in the former Salamanca Beverage Corp. building at 202 Second St., will lead to creation of 40 full-time jobs at the craft brewer, which currently has 149 employees.
The 75,000-square-foot Little Valley site can produce 180 barrels of beer a day and will also include a restaurant and tasting room, along with a Craft Brewing Science Center to demonstrate the brewing process. The company, which also has sites in Ellicottville, Fredonia and Lakeview, plans to use the site to host music events and festivals, as well.
Empire State Development provided the company with a $600,000 grant, along with a promise for $134,000 in Excelsior Tax Credits if it meets its job creation targets.
