A global title insurance company is seeking to relocate its downtown Buffalo office to better accommodate its growth.
Stewart Information Services Corp., parent of Stewart Title Insurance Co., has launched a search for new real estate options in the city. It hired CBRE Buffalo to handle the process.
The firm is located in a three-story, gray-and-white building at 130 Pearl St. – sandwiched between Hodgson Russ LLP's Guaranty Building at the corner of Court Street and the new Cathedral Commons apartment building at 128 Pearl. It owns the 15,818-square-foot building, which was constructed in 1920, but it plans to market that space for sale once it finds a new office to lease, according to the company.
“Our largest Western New York office is growing, and we are excited at the prospect of providing a cutting-edge space for our associates and to better serve our customers,” Craig Goldenberg, Stewart's senior division president, said in a statement. "The city of Buffalo is undergoing tremendous growth, and we look forward to supporting this growth and participating in enhancing the downtown experience."
