A Franklinville man driving a golf cart has been charged with driving while intoxicated by State Police.
Troopers at the State Police station in Machias arrested Jonathon D. Loomis, 22, after he was stopped about 10:11 p.m. Monday on Cadiz Road in Franklinville while operating a green golf cart without any lights.
Loomis was arrested after failing field sobriety tests, according to State Police, and was transported to the station in Machias, where he was administered a Breathalzyer test that recorded a .09 percent blood alcohol content.
Loomis was issued tickets and is scheduled to return later this month to Town of Franklinville Court.
