Building housing Tap House Pub on West Chippewa acquired by Florida investor

The West Chippewa Street building that houses the Tap House Pub & Grille has been acquired by a Sarasota, Fla., investor.

MKK Buffalo LLC, owned by Jarod Miller, Sean Kibrick and Jennifer Keppard, sold the property at 85 West Chippewa to Jonathan Steinberg's Marathon Properties LLC for $1.16 million.

Constructed in 1910 on 0.07 acres, the three-story mixed-use building is located in the heart of the Chippewa Entertainment District, within walking distance of the Westin, Hyatt, Embassy Suites and Hampton Inn hotels, as well as the new Delaware North Headquarters building at 250 Delaware and the Avant at 200 Delaware.

It includes the restaurant on the first floor, with an outdoor bar and seating area, and two rented apartments on the second floor – a two-bedroom unit at $1,200 per month and a studio at $1,000 per month. The third floor is in the process of being converted to two more apartments.

The building was listed by Keller Williams Realty for $1.2 million.
