Man paid with 'movie money' when selling video game system

Police called in the U.S. Secret Service recently after a Town of Niagara man reported that he was paid with $440 of counterfeit money for his video game system.

The victim told police that he arranged on the website Craigslist to meet a man in the Fashion Outlets Mall parking lot to complete the sale. He said he was met by a man and a woman, who gave him $440 in $20 bills for the X-Box One system.

The man became suspicious of the money before noticing it was marked "for motion picture purposes." He gave police a license plate number of the vehicle the two suspects were driving. The case was turned over to the Secret Service for additional investigation.
