The Canalside Live lineup just got bigger with the addition of one of the biggest names in rap music.
Multi-award-winning musician and actor Ludacris will perform July 28 at Canalside as part of the summerlong concert series. Two notable changes for this concert: It will be on a Saturday night (not the traditional Thursday) and general admission tickets will be $15.
VIP tickets, which include the use of a specially expanded VIP area for this show, are $40 and on sale now via Eventbrite.com. The on-sale for general admission tickets will be announced this week with tickets available at the usual locations: all 17 area Consumers Beverages locations, at the Canalside ticket booth on the Boardwalk and via eventbrite.com. All tickets purchased at Consumers and at the Boardwalk include a complimentary beverage voucher for redemption at the concert.
Since he first appeared on the scene with his 1999 debut studio album "Incognegro," Ludacris has released a series of albums including "Word of Mouf," "The Red Light District" and "Ludaversal," winning multiple awards including a Grammy for best album ("Release Therapy") and song ("Money Maker" with Pharrell).
As an actor, he is best known for starring in "The Fast and the Furious" film series, as well as "Crash" (for which he won a Screen Actors Guild Award) and "New Year's Eve." He has also been on TV and voiced multiple video games.
