The registration deadline for the 96th Annual MUNY Tennis Tournament is July 6.
The tournament, started by the National Public Parks Association, is played on the Delaware Park courts and has hosted some of the most exciting players in Western New York.
The tournament runs from July 11 through July 22. Weekday matches run from 5 p.m. to dusk and weekend games from 9 a.m. to dusk. Entry fees are $30 for singles and $34 for a doubles team.
Singles play begins on July 11 with seven men’s divisions (open, 4.5, 4.0, 3.5, 3.0, age 50-plus, age 60-plus) and six women’s (open, 4.5, 4.0, 3.5, 3.0, 2.5).
Doubles play begins on July 14. There are six men’s divisions (open, 8.0, 7.0, 6.0 age 50-plus, age 60-plus), four women’s divisions (open, 8.0, 7.0, 6.0), and four mixed (open, 8.0, 7.0, 6.0). The two family divisions (father and son, parent and child) require a combined NTRP 6.0 or higher.
Registration is online at tennislink.usta.com/tournaments. Players can use their USTA membership account or create a non-member TennisLink account. Under the tournament tab, players should enter tournament ID: 100148918.
Draws will be posted on July 9.
