Go to the video for a Daily Dose of Dahlin: The No. 1 pick gets physical

Practices for Sabres development camp wrapped up Friday morning with another near-capacity crowd on hand in HarborCenter and most were in the house to again watch No. 1 overall pick Rasmus Dahlin.

Most of these workouts are pretty mundane, simple skating and stickhandling drills. Things got much more interesting during a 3-on-3 drill played in the neutral zone. Dahlin didn't do much on some shifts but he provided the highlight of the day in the middle. The victim was third-round pick Matej Pekar.

Here's a look at Dahlin's hands during some stickhandling drills. Yes, Twitter was abuzz with the couple of times he lost the puck. It happens. He even got tripped by one of the Academy of Hockey coaches helping out with the camp. No preferential treatment. And on the last shift of the day, he fed Brendan Guhle for a neat tap-in.

Camp wraps up with the French Connection 3-on-3 tournament Saturday morning at 10:45. It is a ticketed event for season-ticket holders only. The Sabres will stream it on and their Facebook page, with Rick Jeanneret, Rob Ray and Brian Duff on the call.
