The developer who wants to construct dozens of townhouses and apartments in the heart of Williamsville plans to break ground this fall on its long-delayed, $30 million project.
Natale Development plans to construct 30 townhouses and three apartment buildings, each with 30 units, on a 6-acre former industrial site along California Drive. The company said the 90 apartments will be market rate and the townhouses will start at $400,000.
The Asher Crossing project has evolved, and generated controversy, since 2015 as it slowly made its way through the village's review process.
The Williamsville Planning Board has approved the site plan but the village and developer are working out final details of a land swap, Mayor Dan DeLano said.
Natale said it soon will seek building permits for construction that should take 12 to 18 months, said President Bobby Carrao.
