ABC-Amega buys Long Island collections firm

ABC-Amega, a Buffalo-headquartered commercial collections agency, has acquired a Long Island firm.

The acquisition of SKO Brenner American went through Friday. ABC-Amega began managing commercial collections for SKO last week.

Both companies have roots dating back to the 1920s with the American Bureau of Collections, where ABC-Amega gets the first part of its name. Both firms were once American Bureau of Collections divisions, before being bought and operated as separate entities.

ABC-Amega, located on Seneca Street, employs 150 people. The acquisition will add six new jobs at ABC-Amega.
