Pennsylvania woman identified as driver killed in Brant crash

Authorities on Monday identified the driver killed Sunday in a crash on Southwestern Boulevard/Route 20 in Brant as Kathleen Lewis, 67, of Volant, Pa.

The crash happened at about 1:30 p.m. on Route 20 between Route 249 and Hammond Road.

Lewis died at the scene. Four others, including Lewis' two granddaughters who were passengers in her vehicle, suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the crash, the Erie County Sheriff's Office said.

The two children were taken to Oishei Children's Hospital. The male driver and female passenger in the other vehicle, identified as Kentucky residents, were taken to Erie County Medical Center. The Sheriff's Office withheld their names.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
