Thomas J. Quatroche Jr., president and CEO of Erie County Medical Center, has been appointed to the board of directors of America’s Essential Hospitals, which represents 325 health care facilities across the nation. The appointment to the 19-member board, comprised of hospital executives, was made through a vote of the directors.
Formerly known as the National Association of Public Hospitals, the organization is a prominent advocate on federal policy issues that affect safety-net hospitals.
“ECMC is being recognized nationally for its innovation and patient care,” Quatroche said. “We look forward to joining other national-class, innovative health care organizations across the country to find ways to provide better care for our patients and advocate for the most vulnerable in our society.”
