DALLAS — With the first pick in the fifth round of the NHL Draft, the Buffalo Sabres have selected Miska Kukkonen, a 6-foot defenseman from Finland.
The Sabres made the pick at 125th overall.
Kukkonen, 18, is the fourth defenseman the Sabres have chosen in the draft. The others are Rasmus Dahlin, who was 1st overall, Mattias Samuellson in the second round, and Linus Lindstrand Kronholm in round 4.
