Man sought in connection with thefts from 2 stores

Niagara Falls Police said that the man who threatened a store manager after trying to steal from the store Friday morning also is a suspect in a theft that occurred only moments earlier at another nearby store.

The manager told police that around 11:55 a.m. Friday, the suspect walked into Walgreens, 1202 Pine Ave., picked a receipt out of a garbage can and claimed he made a purchase but was not given his merchandise. Asked to leave, the man became irate, police said, threatening the manager and threatening to damage all the vehicles in the parking lot.

Police said the same man is accused of stealing a $10 razor from Rite Aid, 1030 Pine Ave., shortly before the Walgreens incident. A warrant is being prepared for his arrest.
