A City of Tonawanda man was tasered by police Thursday for fighting with officers and resisting arrest, police said.
Steven M. Greger Jr., 30, of Broad Street, was charged with obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest after City of Tonawanda officers said they tried to subdue him. Officers were dispatched to a residence on Broad Street to assist in the capture of a man who had run from North Tonawanda police earlier in the day. Officers located Greger hiding in the back seat of a pickup truck. Greger began to fight with the officers and refused to be handcuffed, according to police. Officers used the taser on Greger to gain his compliance, police added.
Police said Greger also had an outstanding felony warrant in Amherst for grand larceny. Greger was taken to Erie County Medical Center by officers after he complained of dizziness.
