Wide receiver Russell Shepard, who took a free-agent visit with the Buffalo Bills, signed with the New York Giants, he announced Monday night on Instagram.
Shepard had been released by Carolina after reportedly refusing to take a pay cut, according to The Charlotte Observer.
Signing with the Giants reunites him with Dave Gettleman, the former Panthers general manager who is now the Giants' GM.
Shepard appeared in 15 games for Carolina in 2017, making three starts and finishing with 17 catches for 202 yards and one touchdown. He also rushed twice for 19 yards.
