Two men, 23 and 34, identified as Buffalo's latest homicide victims

Buffalo police on Monday identified the two men recently killed in the city.

Chaz A. Carter, 23, of Buffalo, died in the early morning hours of May 10, just hours after he was shot on Goodyear Avenue, police said. Carter was shot at about 7:10 p.m. on Goodyear, just south of Genesee Street, according to police reports. He was taken by ambulance to Erie County Medical Center.

David R. Harper, 34, of Buffalo, was shot at about 10:50 a.m. Wednesday on Grider Street near East Delavan Avenue. Harper was taken to ECMC in a private vehicle and died that day, police said.

Their deaths remain under investigation by homicide detectives.
