Two Niagara County Community College students have been charged with breaking into another student's dormitory room and ransacking it, sheriff's deputies said.
The incident occurred following a large fight at the Saunders Settlement Road housing in Cambria on May 9, according to police reports. A female student's room was entered via a window, and her belongings were scattered throughout the area. One sneaker belonging to the victim was stolen during the episode.
Police charged Buffalo resident Joseph A. Smith, 19, with petit larceny and criminal tampering. Another student, 19-year-old Justin T. Lawson of New York City, was also charged, although the counts against him were not specified in reports.
