Dunkirk man accused of road rage in his own driveway

A Dunkirk man was charged with menacing after he allegedly used a hammer to strike a tractor-trailer and break the truck's window because the driver was blocking his driveway just before 7 p.m. Friday on South Roberts Road.

James D. Watkins, 53, was charged with second-degree menacing by the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office.

Watkins allegedly got upset and then went and got a hammer and proceeded to strike the truck and then threw the hammer into the occupied vehicle, striking the windshield, according to a report from the Sheriff's Office.
