2 face drug charges after police stop car driving without headlights

A Falconer woman and her 18-year-old passenger were charged with drug possession after Jamestown police officers stopped a car traveling without headlights at 1:30 a.m. Saturday on Newland Avenue near Barrett Avenue.

Officers reported finding 5.1 grams of marijuana, 21 grams of methamphetamine, a digital scale and packaging materials in the vehicle, according to a statement from Jamestown police.

The driver, Briana J. Elderkin, 22, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal use of drug paraphernalia, police said. Her passenger, Scott A. Eddy of Jamestown, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, police said.
