Huggins Home Decor & Design was a standout during December's Queen City Pop-Up, so it's no surprise she has struck out on her own with a permanent brick-and-mortar site.
Tracey Huggins' new store is located at 245 Walton Drive in Snyder, near Kensington Avenue and Harlem Road. The store carries pillows, throws, wreaths, candles and all manner of home decor.
Queen City Pop-Up is an effort to bring more small retailers to downtown Buffalo. It partners with local landlords to offer retail entrepreneurs two months of free rent in vacant storefronts, allowing them to test their concept in a brick-and-mortar space in the downtown market. The program is run by Buffalo Urban Development Corp., Buffalo Place and Working for Downtown.
Other Pop-Up veterans who have gone on to open permanent stores include Phenominal Xpressions, Buffalo Adore, Rust Belt Love, Yar Mo's Muse, MMW Style Studio, Rudeboyz Artworks and Buffalo Barkery.
The deadline to apply for a spot in the Spring Edition of the Queen City Pop-Up has been extended until May 24.
