Do something, someone: Make the Boulevard safer
How many more people need to be killed trying to cross Niagara Falls Boulevard before someone does something meaningful? How many more need to die? Ten more? Twenty more?
Just what is the matter with the towns of Amherst and Tonawanda? Where is New York State Department of Transportation? Don’t you have jurisdiction over this mini-highway? Don’t you think something immediate and drastic is warranted?
How about all the local elected officials? How about you, Gov. Cuomo? The locals can’t seem to solve this. Perhaps you can. The DOT works for you. Just what is the matter with you people?
Close off a lane of traffic in each direction. Reduce the speed. Plant cops on every corner. Add speed bumps. Install temporary lighting while you plan for permanent illumination.
Public safety is job one. And you all get a big fat F.
