Beer notes: Two Flying Bison events, plus a cruise with Pizza Plant

Flying Bison presents two events

Flying Bison Brewing Company (840 Seneca St.) will host Allentown restaurant-bar Allen Burger Venture from 4 to 7 p.m. on May 18 as part of its Burger-and-Beer Happy Hour series. Customers can pay $10 for their choice of burger with a side of fresh-cut fries, and select a $4 beer.

A cask of 716 IPA with US and Australian hops will be tapped at 3 p.m. (available until the cask runs out). Additional happy hours are scheduled for June 1 and June 15.

Flying Bison is also organizing another installment of its Urban Trail Run series on May 19. Runners of all levels are invited to meet at the brewery by 11 a.m. to head out for a 4- to 6-mile run through various parts of the city.

Runners will return around noon to replenish their energy with drink specials and food from Babcia’s Pierogi, a vendor in the Broadway Market. All Urban Trail runs are practice runs for the second annual RUN716 15k, taking place at the brewery on Aug. 5. Call 873-1557.
