Two Buffalo firehouses were recently burglarized, and a juvenile was arrested at one station after he was apprehended by a fireman, according to Buffalo police reports.
Someone pushed in boarded-up windows at the station at Southside Parkway and Seneca Street between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Monday and stole various tools and a radio, according to a report. Firefighters planned a further inventory to determine if anything else was taken.
A juvenile, whose age was not included in the report, was arrested at about 5 p.m. Sunday at the firehouse at Main Street and Mercer Avenue after he went through some second-floor lockers. He had a cellphone in his pocket taken from one of the lockers, according to a separate report.
He was charged with second-degree burglary, petit larceny, fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and false personation.
