Concord Historical Society is waiting to be discovered

The article written recently in Gusto by News Critic Mary Kunz Goldman proved to be a big disappointment. Totally overlooked was the Concord Historical Society, which operates a campus on the corner of Main and Franklin streets in Springville.

Included in this campus is the Pop Warner Museum, Carriage House, Concord Mercantile and our recently opened Heritage Building.

In addition to the expected tours, a wide variety of other events takes place here throughout the year – musical groups play two nights a week, the Concord Country Christmas is held annually, participation in the Springville Art Crawl is undertaken, chicken barbecues are held, etc.

The society also operates the Lucy Bensley Center on North Buffalo Street in the village. People interested in genealogy may do research there. The society also holds its monthly meetings in this facility.
