[BN] Blitz newsletter: Business as usual for Bills without Russ Brandon

What effect will Russ Brandon's abrupt resignation as president of both the Buffalo Bills and Sabres have on the One Buffalo enterprise's relationships with corporate partners?

Owners Kim and Terry Pegula say nothing will change, and several business executives who spoke to News reporter Stephen T. Watson indicated the same.

"Their corporate partners say they plan to stay with the teams," Watson writes. "Brandon’s departure leaves a void, local business leaders said, but they are confident that Kim Pegula – the new president of the teams – and others in the Bills and Sabres organizations can fill it."

Chuck Knox, 1932-2018: The coach who led the Bills through some of the most memorable and exciting moments in their history died Saturday in hospice care near his home in Palm Springs, Calif. Milt Northrup, the News' Bills beat writer during Knox's time in Buffalo, writes the obituary.

Chad Kelly impressing Broncos: The former St. Joe's quarterback and nephew of Hall of Famer Jim Kelly is competing for the backup job in Denver after spending his rookie season on injured reserve.

Jerry Sullivan: Josh Allen inspires hope, but let's be patient.

Sully's Mailbag: How soon will we see Allen in the starting lineup?

Watch: Josh Allen talks about meeting Jim Kelly.

Joshing around: An on-screen error from ESPN led to some Twitter banter between the Bills and Cardinals over the weekend.

Proehl-file: Jay Skurski writes about the relationship between Bills' rookie receiver Austin Proehl and his Super Bowl champion father.
