Plesh Contract Packaging, a manufacturing company that makes oil- and water-based products under branded and private labels, will expand and improve its East Side facility.
The company will undergo a $7 million renovation, bolstered by a $375,000 grant from Empire State Development Corp. and $162,206 in Excelsior Jobs Program tax credits. It will also receive 76 kilowatts of low-cost power from ReCharge NY, a state economic development initiative administered by the New York Power Authority.
Plesh is located at 711 Northland Ave., next to the new Northland Workforce Training Center, a Buffalo Billion initiative designed to train residents for careers in advanced manufacturing and energy. The company employs 20 people, including chemists and engineers.
The company formulates and reverse engineers things like waxes, cleaners, fuel additives, adhesives and sealants for specialty industrial, commercial, automotive and consumer uses.
