Law enforcement authorities resumed a search Sunday in the Zoar Valley area for a California man who disappeared April 29 and is feared dead.

Rudy Ray Rockett Sr., 64, was supposed to get on a flight back to California from Buffalo on that date after visiting his vacation house in Ransomville in Niagara County.

Rockett's stepson, Gregory Roy, who was supposed to drive his stepdad to the airport according to relatives, was arrested on a weapons charge following Rockett's disappearance. He is being held in Niagara County jail. Authorities found Rockett's ring in Roy's room and "quite a bit of blood" on the door of a car that Roy drove, according to Rockett's son, Rudy Ray Rockett Jr.

Niagara and Erie counties authorities were searching for the sixth consecutive day for Rockett Sr. in the Zoar Valley area.
