Tennant takes over as Nichols girls basketball coach

Nichols has named Courtney Tennant as girls basketball coach. She takes over for longtime coach Bob Torgalski.

Tennant has been with the Vikings since the 2014-15 season, when she served as junior varsity coach. She's been an assistant with the varsity the past two seasons.

Tennant scored 1,000 career points during her time with Rochester Institute of Technology, earning Second Team Capital One CoSIDA Academic All-American honors and RIT Female Athlete of the Year laurels during her time with the Tigers.

Torgalski guided Nichols to the Monsignor Martin playoff championships in 2008 and 2009.
