News columnist Sean Kirst delivers a feel-good story for Bills fans, detailing how the team was able to provide the ultimate moment for superfan "Pancho Billa" at the NFL Draft while keeping the planned surprise a secret from Bills Mafia supporters.
"It was one of the great acknowledgements of Bills fans in franchise history," Kirst writes.
The latest on Russ Brandon: Vic Carucci reports that owners Terry and Kim Pegula used their personal attorneys to conduct the investigation that led to Brandon's resignation, in part because Brandon's brother, Gregg, is executive vice president and general counsel for Pegula Sports and Entertainment. The NFL is also looking into the situation and will "make a decision in the next few days," according to a spokesman.
Bucky Gleason: Brandon lost his way before losing his job.
Front office addition: The Bills are reportedly in the process of hiring former Carolina linebacker Dan Morgan to presumably replace Brian Gaine as vice president of player personnel. Former teammate Lorenzo Alexander tweeted that Morgan is a "Hell of a player, better dude."
QB workout: Austin Apodaca, who plays for Winnipeg in the CFL, will reportedly visit the Bills next week. He most recently played in the Spring League in Texas.
Tim Graham Show: On Russ Brandon's resignation, Bills draft results, Sabres lottery luck, with guest host Bucky Gleason and a phoned-in segment with Graham. Subscribe to the podcast and watch the Facebook Live replay through this link.
