In words of Shakespeare, Trump protests too much

In William Shakespeare’s classic play “Hamlet,” the famous line, “The lady doth protest too much, methinks,” is spoken in response to insincere overacting of an actor in a play. In the 500-plus years since, the line has taken on the context of someone who, according to Wikipedia, “frequently and vehemently denies something very strongly while hiding the truth, thereby making themselves appear defensive and insincere.”

President Trump’s continued lashing out at the FBI and Justice Department regarding their investigations of the Russian cyberattacks, the Stormy Daniels story and other matters sure seems to fit this context, doesn’t it?
