A Buffalo man who threatened his former girlfriend and then stabbed her new boyfriend pleaded guilty in State Supreme Court to attempted assault in the first degree.
Tyron Fish, 27, went to the woman's home on Sept. 26 after harassing her by phone. When her new boyfriend went outside to tell Fish to leave, Fish stabbed him three times in the torso with a large knife.
The victim survived but had to undergo multiple surgeries and has permanent damage to his stomach.
Justice Russell P. Buscaglia scheduled sentencing for June 27, when Fish faces a possible maximum sentence of 15 years in prison.
